Dissolution Of Marriage Divorce Statement:
As two years approach following the private dissolution of my previous marriage in 2024 of 10+ years , It is now proper to make a public statement with clarity, peace, and discretion.
The matter was intentionally handled privately over a lengthy time period and with discretion ,out of respect for the continued dignity, grace, and long term well being of the McWhorter Family legacy & heritage. With notice certain coparenting and family legacy matters are in continued litigation Involving “Scout Aslan McWhorter” “ Scout McWhorter “& “Cass Karter McWhorter “ Cass McWhorter notated privately.
Whitney has since agreed to enter private life and continues forward outside of any operational or institutional affiliation with the McWhorter Family & or Trust, Foundation and all other associated entities, foundations, initiatives, intellectual property, holdings, or future developments. Out of continuity and consideration for the children, she has the right to retain use of the family surname “ McWhorter “ in her private/personal capacity however no longer forward facing or public facing with exception to her own private entities & publication websites the name “Whitney McWhorter” in reference to mother of McWhorter children & or wife to Myself is reserved by myself and all entities managed and or owned now and forever more by right of official heritage and birthright.
Above all else, my highest priority remains the protection, education, spiritual foundation, dignity, management privacy, and long-term well being of my children and family.
Accordingly, this statement shall serve as formal public notice to all major and minor press, media organizations, photographers, agencies, publications, digital platforms, archivists, and third-party commercial entities that all rights relating to my name, image, likeness, identity, affiliated entities, intellectual property, archival materials, and the names, images, likenesses, identities, and private lives of my minor children remain expressly reserved and protected under applicable rights of privacy, publicity, and related legal protections.
For the avoidance of doubt, such protections and reservations extend to my direct descendants by blood, as well as any stepchildren or adopted children reflected within the private records and stewardship of the family will & trust.
Any release of family portraiture or private imagery involving the children shall remain subject to my discretion, appropriate dignity, and express consent of myself father, principle member & patron. No photographer, publication, media organization, archive, agency, or third party is authorized to claim ownership, commercial rights, licensing authority, exploitative usage, manipulated usage, or unauthorized distribution rights relating to the identities or images of the children without express written authorization.
All longstanding family stewardship structures, institutional interests, affiliated holdings, archives, intellectual property, and associated assets presently maintained within New York, Palm Beach, London, and any other current or future jurisdictions remain under my continued care, management, and long term stewardship through the appropriate trusts and affiliated entities.
In the interest of preserving peace, dignity, and forward stability, I have voluntarily assumed all civil & financial obligations originating from the marital period of marriage so that all parties may continue forward privately, respectfully, and without unnecessary conflict.
As life continues forward, so too does my focus upon faith, fatherhood, stewardship, meaningful work, refinement, and the continued long term development of the responsibilities and institutions entrusted to my care. I look forward to the future , of which in God’s timing, may one day include a peaceful and enduring union founded upon shared faith, wisdom, grace, harmony, loyalty, mutual respect, devotion to legacy, and long term stewardship alongside a virtuous and equally yoked woman of God.
